INTRODUCTION

This protocol is adapted from the information supplied by Invitrogen as part of their Edysone-inducible Mammalian Expression System.


MATERIALS

An ecdysone-inducible expression plasmid (e.g., the pIND series; Invitrogen) carrying a luciferase reporter gene

An ecdysone-inducible plasmid harboring the gene of interest

Cultured mammalian cells

Monolayer cultures, grown to confluence or semiconfluence in 100-mm dishes, should be washed twice with ice-cold phosphate-buffered saline and then immediately lysed . . . [Full Text of this Article]
