INTRODUCTION
This protocol describes a method for collection of blood from the tail of a mouse. The blood can then be used for analysis.
MATERIALS
Reagents
Appropriate anesthetic (depending on amount of blood to be collected, see Step 1.
If collecting up to 200 µl of blood use 0.5 ml Isofluorane.
If collecting 200-500 µl of blood use Ketamine/Xylazine or Tribromoethanol (Avertin).
Heparin (optional)
Mouse
Phosphate-buffered saline
